Call me crazy but that yellow 2002 Firebird CE (the 2nd one..its the one that's not completely wrecked) looks pretty nice without the spoiler on the back...I'm guessing it got ripped off in the accident. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this with theirs? I find it gives the car a really clean look. Not that I'm a big fan of Mustangs, but the one's that I've seen with the spoiler removed look nice. What do you guys think?

thats our crash test rating. not bad, but not that great. we probably get good frontal rating cuz of our rediculously long hood.

It was great by 93 standards, now it's just good. I wish the IIHS (offset tests) would have tested one, but it's funded by the insurance industry and they apparently never test sports cars.

They could really toughen up the crash test now though. It seems like almost everything gets five stars these days, and almost everything gets the best rating in the offset category. I think they're becoming meaningless.

i'll bet a big part of the 5 star ratings is cuz of the size of so many vehicles on the road. so many big trucks and suv's... them things r tanks compared to our cars. hell, i think it makes it more dangerous for us cuz mine is lowered and when i stop behind trucks i can see the trailer hitch almost on eye level. if i rear ended one of those suckers fast than 30 mph... i'd probably get that thing right in the face. (shudder)

edit: sorry, i'm totally hijacking. that site is sad. i hate seeing f-bodies die painful deaths like that. besides, some of those are so bad i think the drivers probaby shared the same fate as the car
