Finally getting the patio re-done from Hurricane Wilma
Finally getting the patio re-done from Hurricane Wilma
We still don't have tiles on our roof, but the patio guys showed up unannounced today and began putting in pavers. They said they should be done tomorrow.
We are still on the waiting list for our roof tiles.
Lots of dust and mess is in the pool from cutting the pavers.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

LOL our neighbors are cutting pavers for their pool area right now too.
My parents new roof has been up for about a month or so. They also got the new fence up.
They are debating on redoing the pools screen again, there are laws and codes and stuff up in the air, and talk that insurance companies won't fully insure them anymore so my parents may try something different.
My dad just finished clearing out the tore up beds this week, and they are getting some estimates for landscaping this week.

No, that's a big screen enclosure around the patio. That is very common in Florida to keep the skeeters at bay.
In the spring, we get tens of thousands of little bugs that are so tiny they pass through the screens and then grow.
Eric: Yes, the dirty secret is out - there basically is no reliable "code" for screen enclosures. Plus, the insurance co has stated that from now on, they will only cover the cost of screen enclosure replacement / repairs up to a set $ limit.
After we get the pavers done, then we will have the pool re-diamond-brited (marcite type stuff).

be happy...
my parents had theirs redone a few months before the hurricane. and since the screen panels held up in the wind instead of ripping out...
the entire frame work collapsed under the pressure, I'll get a pic up. I spent like 2 hours pulling and cutting and dismantleing it out of the pool.
