I hear they are having problems with the new Camaro being a tad porky..... just like the GTO.

      James will deal with that

I'll say it now and again, if it hit the production line looking the way it does, I will not be buying one.

I hope they don't rush R&D on it. this seems to be a recurring theme on the speed channel and discovery channel. they always have a show where an americam automaker set an undo-able production deadline and to meet the deadline the car is nothing but a pile of comprimises and is a complete piece of crap.

I just dont like the body style and the interior design. The car will drive and perform like a champ but the way it looks just doesnt rub me in the right way. Maybe my opinion will change when I actually get my hands on one at the dealership.

I wonder how long this rerto concept will last. Will it turn out to be a fad or will the next 10 years bring evolving designs of the retro look? Where is that going to take us?? The "new" Mustang and Camaro, while hot looking, are still a drastic departure from previous generation styling. Everything down to the instrument gages are frikin retro. I like the looks, but it feels too much like back to the future or something.

it will definatly not last. expect it to follow the same designs as the rest of the car models. Its also expensive to make such drastically different parts.

Good or bad, GM still had better do something quick!! The longer they wait, the more the Camaro's fan-base will ask, "Was it worth the wait and loss of public interest?" Each day, Ford gains buyers that GM could have had IF they had a Camaro/Firebird to market. They can only go so far by slapping SS badges on everything on the showroom floor. There might be some asthetic issues for certain people, but GM has to get a car out there before the name Camaro falls off the performance buyer's radar.

Quality can't be compromised, that's a given. But people should realize the design will never please everyone. No matter how much they change it. I say get the car out there, and let the consumer mold it's future while one is still possible. As the car goes along over the years, the consumer's concerns and tastes will find their way into furthering the design.

i wouldnt call gm "retards" but more lazy if anything, i think they were so use to having that huge lead of dominance in the market and didnt spend enough time with the designs or have good public feedback on what they want. they also need to upgrade their current lineups interrior which seems to be a persistant problem. the lazyness had cost them tons of customers especially because america has so many WELL-KNOW and RELIABLE choices oppose to when people were leary to imports or had customer loyalty to one brand. like the previous poster i agree gm needs to get this car out soon and more like it. if it wasnt for this car and the gto but mainly the new camaro, gm would not have a car that i could see myself driving.
