yea, i just ordered these:GM Performance Parts F1 floormats and body badging installed. just like him. that way when they get here and i put them on mine will be an "F1" also.

theres nothing special about that camaro, besides the "F1" badges

it is clean though

yea I thought it was a fake because i thought the real ones have a v8 motor with a performance package on it, if im not mistaken. correct me if im wrong.

That's correct. The F1 Camaro is an LT1 with the body kit, induction and exhaust components, emblems, wheels and tires and shifter. The parts can be ordered individually or as a package. Most will fit all types of Camaros although the intake and exhaust systmes are designed for the LT1 engines. Custom floor mats were also an option.

The F1 package also featured supsension upgrades that include a 1LE front antiroll bar, bushings, a link kit and a track bar. Rounding off the F1 package is a Hurst shifter with a leather knob. Oh yeah, and the stripe package, in red, black, silver or gold.

How do I know? It was a tossup between that or the RS for me. I didn't opt for the F1 because it would have cost about $28,000+ ten years ago for a 1996 and I didn't want to make that kind of payment (not to mention the insurance increase). Funny thing is... I ended up putting WAY more than that into my 3.8. :spank:

I have a friend with a Real F1....hardly ever moves...real nice though...got an incredible deal on it...amazing camaro...SO LOUD when the cutout is off. Very clean. runs low 11's. Has an entire binder of everything done to it w/ reciepts from the guy he bought it from.
