Re: Advice on GTP possibilities :D

I'm considering all of my possibilities gentlemen :). I'm not apt to buy a car with 130,000 miles on it but I'm just trying to be openminded about everything.

I'm currently looking at a car very similar to my original. (Black Auto 1997 Camaro RS V6)
      Good:
It has 22,000 fewer miles than my original Camaro
It has a fancy JVC aftermarket sound system
      New Wheels
      Sexy (expensive looking) Rims (aftermarket)
Same as my original car in almost every way but better apparently
The owner claims everything about it is impeccable and it drives perfect but we'll see.
Tinted windows (supposedly... I'm not sure she knows what she's talking about)
She says she's selling it because they got it for her daughter but her daughter wanted a truck (lol... if that's true then that's good for me)
She seems ignorant about cars, but she might be acting

      Bad:
No t-tops like my original (I rarely used them though :-\. I hope it has a moonroof at least)
Problems with the left window motor (easily replaced)
Problems with the trunk's hydrolic arms... Cheap fix I figure.
      No air bags
Salvage title... this is my biggest concern, but it's also my biggest area in which I can strong-arm the seller. She said it's been totally rebuilt, that it handles like a dream and that the engine is excellent (we'll see about that). She's had the ad up for a while, and only one person has said they would look at it (and they ended up not showing up). Sooo... It sounds good right now.

If the car seems to be in good working order and I can manage to lowball her, I'll have loooooads of leftover cash to really take care of the car and probably get new airbags installed (I know this is friggin expensive, but if I get it for low enough then it's worth the investment).

Here's hoping it's good and that the salvage title is not effective in TN. The salvage title is only effective in the state the the car was totaled in right? O_o

airbags are stock, there is no such thing as a moonroof thats what the t-tops were. just look at it very close, and get a carfax from somebody who has suscribed, gas hatch shocks should be pretty easy and cheap, window motor is cheap and easy, but make sure you go over every inch of the car, and give the motor a close listening while it is running to make sure there is no knock or anything, look for poorly aligned panels, things like that

I'll not give any details at this time, but things are looking optimistic about this car and I'll be sure to give you all of the details if I am so inclined to make a purchase :D.

Your advice is very much appreciated and I will be certain to give the car a very thorough inspection considering its history.
