so after driving an 83 V6 Camaro since I turned 16 (so four years now) I decided it was time for an upgrade and unfortunately it didnt seem worth the money to fix the seemingly endless number of problems the old girl had. On the plus side i'm the proud new owner of a 2000 3.8L pewter metalic maro. i dont know a whole lot about cars, basically just know what i like and figure this would be a good place to get some info for mods and whatnot. anyway, she's bone stock for now but hopefully not for long. so yeah i just wanted to drop a line and say hey to everyone

welcome to the site. its TONS of great info on this site.

start with an intake lid and an exhuast. check out the "Sticky" threads in the Intake/Exhuast section. listen to some clips and see what you like.

What kind of power do you want for the V6?

well im the typical poor college kid as a good chunk of my money goes to beer and books, but my current plans are a magnaflow catback system with highflow cat, and some kind of intake. not sure what intake root i want to take, k&n fipk or lid, filter, etc. eventually when i can afford it, headers and gears. i'd like to go beyond that but it will be quite a while before i got that kinda cash.

Make sure you do a search before asking any questions about any mods. Most likely they've already been answered a million times.

T-top, couldn't have it any other way. I just hit 58,000 miles, was just under 57 when I bought it. and yes, phil is the name.
