2002 Chevrolet Malibu

My mom and dad bought my younger sister her first car and it a 2002 Malibu. I was happy that the family has another chevy added to the cars that we have. I got a chance to drive it and it is a real smooth and comfortable drive. The car has around 32,500 miles on it and it is a V6. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this car and could share what you know.

kinda like an average sedan car. basic things will go wrong with it further down the road but it is somewhat reliable, not like a civic but better than say a focus or something. all in all its a nice car

i had my moms for about 8 months while the t/a was being "fixed"

it was a decent car. had pretty good power and was comfortable. it sucked on gas mileage around town though. i swear to god the thing drank more gas than the t/a ever has. i raced a 05 v6 stang in it one night and beat up to probably 50 or so before i let off.

i know for a fact it will get the typical 3100/3.1 oil leak. every one ive seen has had it.

its probly either that cam cover on the back of the motor or more than likely, the oil pump drive(dummy distributor) O ring, nothing a new o ring and a sbc dizzy gasket for extra insurance

Good car - good quality, comfortable and decent performance.
