first vid I remember seeing on it was Freeze Frame by the J. Giels band. Other highlights were Remote Control, Liquid Television, head bangers ball, and the culmination of all that was cool, Beavis & Butthead.

only other MTV related thing worth mentioning was on m2, and them playing Prince's 1999 all day 31 Dec 1998

Damn I'm gettin' old. I do remember when they played music, and "Video Killed the Radio Star" the first day. Sure do miss the Head Banger's Ball.

MTV sucks so bad it can take the chrome off a trailer hitch.

Headbanger's ball was the absolute best. Beavis and Butthead ruled!

I remember when MTV was videos. Then I remember when they made MTV2 to show videos cause all MTV showed was crappy shows. Now, both only play music videos late and have shows on all day pretty much.

Does anyone get FUSE? That's a decent music channel that is dedicated to music and vids... Shocking right?

MTV played videos? I thought it was always about exploiting the learning curves kids go through by putting them under one roof or fighting for Ted Nugent's affections in the woods.

Both those MTV channels are full of so much formulaic crap that a bowl of Alphabet Soup has more variety to see. I watch Fuse.

Duuuuudddeeee, so no one here watches Laguna Beach??? I really wanted to talk about season 2, episode 7...the one where Beth loses her change purse...

Disclaimer: for those who didn't catch on, the above was blatant sarcasm.

                            fuse is good.

Mtv needs to change if focking name. Its no longer music television.

                            Maybe gtv for ghey television.
