I guarantee the GT 40 can outperform the vette at higher speeds..and can go higher speeds than the vette! On the flipside the vette can accelerate faster but cant go as fast.
You could put a supercharger on the vette. (expensive)
You could put a better gear in the GT 40. (less expensive)

well all i know is i wouldn't spend my money on a car you can get looks and performance from another alot cheaper, i would use it on a house, family, etc...not that im ever gonna have this money though lolComment

the ford gt was built for higher speeds than the C6 vette. The ford GT has always owned the Le Mans series, beating better companies like ferrari, porsche, etc..
the vette cannot handle as good or go as fast as the Ford GT

the c6 zo6 does have an aluminum frame, also its bumbers are made from carbon fibre, and the cradle the engin sits in is made from magnesium.Originally posted by slow6

All i can say the Z06 is an awesome car and gets good gas mileage for 505HP.....now speaking of long distance racing (also known as track racing :P ) the TEAM CORVETTE is actually eating up the competition ...the corvette is defenetly slower as the top speed ...but A) it gets there faster
B) ist above all a CHEVY (wooohoo) :D and C) spending 60K is always better then spending 200K on a car lolComment

On another note, the C6 ZO6 and Ford GT are both beautiful and down right amazing cars.
