Do you see me making money from this or wasting my time?

There is a 98 Trans Am for sale for $2000 with 91k. Here is whats wrong with it:

It was in an accident that basically needs a new front clip but the driver side fender is still good. The motor and tranny (auto) are still good those were not harmed.

If I take the motor/tranny out and sell those 2, do you think I can break even? Then I could sell various things like seats, ttops, rear bumper, hatch, misc interior stuff. Whatever that is left over I can donate it or send to a junkyard.

Is this too much of a headache and a loss? I think I can strip the car within 2-3 weeks and be done with it before school starts.

any 98+ f-body around d-town is 15k+. i've looked and looked and looked. either its totalled or it costs a fortune. no in-between.

u can sell the leather interior alone for 800 on ebay, then the rear ta hatch for like 3 or 4 hundred...... seams like a great deal

I would buy, replace whats wrong with it and keep it. I'm sure you could find used parts that you need for cheap.

I would buy that for $2000 in a heartbeat as long as the motor was okay. I'd offer like $1800 first though.

The thought of buying a new front clip crossed my mind, but I would like to get rid of this ASAP. I dont need another distraction for school, I have had way too many of them in the past semesters.

Wow if i had 2000 I'd get it. I want the hatch and rear bumper. Can you give me the guys email address or contact? If you buy it, sell me the hatch and back bumper, or if you dont need it I'll trade ya for my hatch and rear bumper.
