so i was filling the camaro up with gas today and the noticed the new location of a performance auto shop right next door. they installed my exhaust a while back. anyways, the guy has a 1987 convertible camaro iroc. its red with chrome iroc wheels and some pretty big tires on it (not much tread though) the hood has alignment issues and so does the rear spoiler. the interior is in decent shape...nothing out of the ordinary for a new 20 year old car and it has 73xxx miles on it. overall the thing appears to be in GREAT shape. not sure whats under the hood though. talked to the guy for min before he had to help a customer and he said he would take as low at $5900 for it. sounds kinda pricy to me and i wanted to get yall's opinion on it. not sure about the motor or anything this is based purely on the appearance of the car. but i wouldn't doubt it has a performance exhaust and a few other goodies under that hood. about how much yall think this car is worth?

Re: 1987 vert.?
You're going to have to look at the blue book on this one. Back then I wanted to buy an 89 GTA Convert. made by PAS w/ 83k. The owner wanted $4500. I almost went for it till a 98 Firebird distracted me.
One thing I've notice is that the 3rd gen. F-bodies are going up a little bit on price. I guess they're becoming rare now, esp. the Firebirds.
I would ask to see it more up close and do that fine tooth comb thing.
1998 Firebird . 1989 Firebird XS . 1986 Fiero GT
