Man I dunno.... I been drinkin hard core for past year... yeah im only 21 but hell... I have been smoking since about 17ish, i was only up to about 15 a day... but thats damn near a pack a day..... All the sudden out of the blue, I just decide to quit, cold turkey..... Dont even have a reason to... man for anyone who says its hard to quit, I have been smoking straight for 4 years.... kiss my *** u pussies... the only hard part is not having something to do when you are bored.... the third day was kinda weird, i was fiending out my ***, but other than that its easy.... Now i only drink when Im out on the weekends and stuff..... and now I got this sudden urge to work out ? I mean really im a lazy mothertrucker, but for some reason, not running more than 100 yards after some stupid *** shoplifters since hs, which was about 4 years ago, i just ran a total of 5 miles today on a treadmill, and started lifting some weights......

anyone had a weird turn like this? I mean i really dont have a reason ? Its like all the sudden I just like I was a different person... i dunno its crazy but physically, I havnt felt better in my life that I can remember.....

Man, from the title I thought you put that beautiful car in a ditch or something.

Congrats on the quitting smoking, and the exercising more. Have fun with it.

that was a tad challenging to read, thanks for exercising my brain a little.

anyway, 15 a days isnt that bad considering there people that smoke 4 packs a day. congrats on quiting, interesting you said the hardest part is not having something to do when your bored. i started smoking the summer going into 7th grade, smoked about the same as you ( id have 3-5 left at the end of the day) untill around the middle of 10th grade. i started trying to quit in the beginning of 10th, school was just a killer. me and a couple friends used to always smoke in school but now we have camer's everwhere. so school got harder, and i figured if i could suffer for 6 hours in school i might as well just quit. not having something to do when i was bored was NOT the hardest part for me, but it is part of it none the less. i had one about 3 weeks ago, but i was drinking, i was kinda surprised i didnt want another one after that. i have no problem being around it or anything. good luck.

congrats man that is great. tune down the drinking a little bit more to maybe one weekend a month. drinking is realllllly unhealthy. people just don't care.

the first time I quit it was like that, one thursday night at the bar I ran out and said, I think it's time to quit. Unfortunately I started back 2 years later during grad school. My advice is don't start again, ever, don't even have the radom smoke at the bar when you are really drunk and your defenses are down.
I think it's time for me to quit again, but just don't seem to have the same midnset which made it easy the first time. anyway congrats on your success.

Congrats, keep it up. A pack a day is quite a bit. After awhile you'll get rid of any of that junk in your lungs from smoking, especially if you keep up the working out. This is the kind of thing I like to hear, because the longer you smoke, the greater your risks are...

if everyone in the word stopped smoking there'd be 50 trillion people out of jobs.

i dont wonna turn this into a big fight like the other one, i stayed out of it becuase i knew it was going to go down like it did.

OUTSTANDING decision to quit smoking man..... but be warned, I've had friend's quit for 5-6 months, then start again. I also have a friend who has never starting again..... but says it honestly took nearly 2 years for the craving to TOTALLY go away. He said seeing other people smoking made him crave the most.

Well you're replacing one habit with another. Which is a good thing.

i tried smoking a few times.. just because everyone i was around did it.. i never really caught on.. it didnt give me a lil nicotin buzz or anything.. and i just cant see how it could be hard to quit.. people say they do it cause they are stressed.. well theres always somebody else out there thats stressed more... and they dont smoke.. but oh well its all good...

about the liftin weights and everything i had that kinda turn around last year.. just suddenly decided to start runnin.. got to about 2 miles a day.. i was gonna start again this year at the beginning of school.. but i hurt my knee.. it hurts to walk much less run

if you dont smoke and you inhale hard, and its a good cig your'll feel something. it does get hard to quit, i guess its just a thing you have to experence to understand. i actually started smoking cigs becasuse i smoked weed, so it was just like 2 every other day or so. then it caught onand i smoked all the time, it's something to do when your bored. it DOES calm you down, and helps stress i guess.
