Actually, take it with a grain of salt, but I was just reading a guys magazine at work (yeah, I work at a DEAD gas station, we had 14 customers in 3 hours, just for a comparison) and I read there is some options on the engines.

They didnt discuss any V6's (although Im sure there will be) but the talked about 3 V8 possibilities.

        1. The LS2 (of course)
        2. The LS7

        3. A LS9 (I think) that is supercharged, Ill go back tonight and steal his magazine for a bit, and quote the last paragraph, and let everyone know what magazine it was.

            thats my point sorta /\/\

i know this stuff has been around for a while and all, but i want to know what happens when something with it goes wrong. ill be the first to admit i know jack **** about DOD and to be honest i have no urge to know much about it.

that being said.. how the hell can you mod a car with DOD? seems like it would make things a lot more difficult when doing internal work or building a FI motor.

if you are going to build up a engine why get one with DoD to start with? if they offer one with it and one without.. just get the one without it and build it up.. or get the one with it and be the first to have a turbo dod car.. lol...

i've always wondered... how do those dod cars sound when they only have 4 cylinders runnin?

                        Re: 5th gen engines?

one engine will have DOD, you can bet your bottom dollar on it. caddy did try it in 81 but the computing power wasnt up to par.

as far as caddy, you just have to work on them to understand.

                          Re: 5th gen engines?

As stated before I wouldn't want DOD on a muscle car. Doesn't it defeat the purpose??

Reminds me of when Dodge was debating to put a DVD player in the charger.

what?! a dvd player? For anyone who acutally wants a real charger, that hemi should be entertainment enough. Completely missed the boat on that. I think that putting DOD in would be along the same lines.
