Damn that would be insane ot see in person. I have seen tigers "playing" with each other and roaring and running around, rearing up on their hind legs and its crazy how loud they were, and they were just playing around a little.

Thats pretty freakin cool!! :tup:

Notice that at one point the Tiger had the Lions number, but because the Lion has that big fluffy mane it could escape the Tiger's death grip (that and it was bigger). If the Tiger had been of the larger Siberian variety then it would have been different.

tiger looks a lil on the small size to me in this video, if it were like the one in the lion vs. tiger the tiger would have that snake no questions asked

Tigers are usually slightly larger than Lions like Siberian Tiger (it can outweigh it by 70-100lbs). The mane of the Lion is very deceiving. Plus Lion stands slightly taller than Tigers at the fore legs but Tigers have a much longer body. Both cats have the same size skull, teeth and such. Lions since they live in a dry hot area tend to be leaner and more muscular than Tigers that lives in tropical or colder area.

But African male Lions are very aggressive, better skilled fighters than Tigers. Male Lions were born to be aggressive and to be fighters because they have to fight off other male Lions and take control of the females in the pride. Male Lions are not effective hunters though like Tiger that like to ambush their prey.

Tigers are solitary cats and they hardly confront other Tigers. While male Lions are always fighting other male Lions. So it makes sense why a male Lion would beat a larger cat like the Tiger.

The well-known Clyde Beatty film, "The Big Cage", documents a circus on the verge of bankruptcy. Beatty's attempted performance erupted ... all » into a shocking fight which was recorded on film.

In the story, Beatty tames the cats and continues in the tradition of 'the show must go on'. Privately Beatty admitted even he had no possible hope of separating the big cats and the lion went on to maul the tiger to death.

For over 50 years the scene was thought by viewers to be a well-staged dramatic scene, but is now recognised as a documentary showing an actual killing.

So yeah, the mustang wins.
