It's funny,I get challenged to race in my Thunderbird instead of my Firebird except for yesterday when I was taking my g/f home this red riced out mustang thats been passed around and ended up on damn near every used car lot in town came up quickly behind me and tailgated me wanting to race but I ignored him and he turned off,he'd have beat me I think. That was the first.

This little hick town is filled to the brim with ricer morons roughly my age (they see it like fwd+stickers+fart cannon=my poo dont stink!) and I'm probably one of a dozen or less young'ins that own an american sports car (bird/stang/maro etc.) so I get a lot of props from the older V8 croud for being young,driving responsible and taking good care of my machine (that I worked hard to pay for). I dont act like I got the fastest wheels in town but for a 17 year old car its in very good shape!

I'm thinking my cars exhaust (or muffler atleast) isnt stock cause it sounds pretty throaty till a little under 3k and kinda V8'ish so the ricers pretty much leave me alone (unless I'm in my Tbird although its quick enough to fend off the usual civic and pulls pretty damn hard for a 3400lbs car when ya hit full boost!).

i only had that problem with a bunch of mustangs... never any other f bodies..... most were old 5.0s which if stock, 3.8s beat in top end on highway..... so f them

when i was stock i kept up w/ a 5.0 till 3rd then he slowly pulled. maybe he couldnt drive a stick too well but i remember that

I've played with a few mustang gt's, ford lightning, some z28's. Other than a borla, headers, and k@n, my car is pretty much stock except for suspension mods. You can surprise a lot of folks if you have a good reaction time. Even when I lose, I love the look on there faces when I tell them I have a 6 banger. That is worth it alone.

Yep I get no respect sometimes.It's like 50/50 with some of the v8 drivers I have met.But I just walk by them at a car show at the end of the day carrying my 1st place trophey with a smile :) thats my revenge.

That is by far one of the sickest Camaros I have seen. And I don't care for that style of 4th gen, but that sucker looks badass! :) AMAZING job on it, I know you have great pride of it.

im proud of mine even though it might be ruined, we'll see. it was quick off the line when stock, i was impressed. now its just quicker

Off topic, and I don't know if you are in high school or not, but Spring did pretty damn good vs Deer Park this last Friday. I was with the band and the football team and band were great. Great job! :)

funny thing is one time a douchebag in a yellow cavelier tailgated me..i slowed down to 45 on a 55 mile highway then i merged to the next lane and he tried to fly past me but didnt get one inch ahead of me. stupid cavaliers!!! it was a dude in a yellow cavalier...WHAT GUY DRIVES A YELLOW CAVALIER!!

Thank you for your comments. She is my pride and joy. Getting back to the topic of this thread I'm 40 years old and when ever some kid in a faster car then mine for some reason has to prove it to me I just shake my head and let them blow by me.

i'm sorry, i just dont have the cajones to ride bikes. i'd be freakin out so bad. i did a face plant one time on my bicycle back when i was like 15. i was racing some kid, we were turning a corner and i hit gravel and then caught pavement. the tires stopped suddenly and i flew face first into a curb. going even 35 mph on a bike would just sent my blood pressure thru the roof.

Bikes are in my blood...

it just isnt for some people but you gotta love them... they are ridiculously fast.
if you are scared of them, definatley dont ride... youll be constantly thinking of the bad things and you will probably wreck..

last night i went riding at 3am.. with no shoes or socks... no helmet just a pair of shorts and safety glasses.. 120mph. Yes stupid.. just not afraid.

Never post that on a bike forum. You'd never get an ounce of respect again. :p

Plus if you ride a 600, don't get too cocky. It's very common to see a 600 kill on the goat forum. Granted they are roll on's at higher speeds where 600's are weak, but... you get my point. :) When I read those kills I don't know whether to be happy or sad. :p

I promise I don't bash anyone with a v6 f-body. I still miss mine. Now, on the other hand, if somebody with a slow car (sentra, neon, honda, etc) tries to drive like it's fast, I'll pu them in their place. I will admit though, I've had a lot more people wanting to race me since I bought the T/A. Had to take care of an srt4, magnum and charger RT, turbo supra, trucks, etc. But, like I already said, I miss my v6 and would never disrespect a fellow owner (unless they deserved it)
