Finally got pulled over for no front plate.....

Went out, on a late night food run in the Maro, and got pulled over for no front plate, STUPID NEBRASKA LAWS! So now I have to put one on. My question is, can I just remove it after I show it to them? Or something of that nature, or will they get pissed.

I have been pulled over twice for this (yes why would I be pulled over twice you ask?) cause I went to the station to show them, then went home and took it back off. No tickets either time, just compliance.

Yes, you could.

Until you actually receive a ticket for the violation, not just a "fix it" ticket. Once you receive a ticket, it will be on your driving record why you received it. If you continuously get pulled over for the same thing, eventually the consequenses will worsen. If you get the same cop, you can guarentee a problem.

front licnense plates and billet grilles werent meant to be tho, and you can guaruntee I am not going to put one over my I/C

Better than me :( i got a ticket for cutting off a cop :banana:

(we merged into the lane at the same time, he was behind me slightly so i "cut him off" even though i had my blinker on and he didn't :mad: )

You are lucky you just recieved a "Fix it" Ticket. I got an actual ticket for no front plate. Drove to the trooper barracks, showed them the plate was now back on, and they said too bad. I payed the ticket then took it back off.

3 years on the bird, no front plate, and one year on the goat, no front plate. One 80 dollar ticket. So for .054 cents a day, it's worth it. :p

I got a ticket too. $100 fine and a court appearance. I punched holes into the front of the car with an ice pick and put it on and went to court. I told the judge I had the car painted and now the plate was on. He never went outside to check it. I ended up getting just the court fees of like $25 at the time. I'm still pissed at myself for putting holes in the front end. :mad:

You have no factory drilled holes and they require front plates in your state? Can you zip tie it to the grill?

After they look at it, screw it to the air dam underneath the car for a "permanent" spot. They won't bother you. Mine got ripped off though one winter and thats when I got my ticket.

screw it its just a non moving violation..... i have never had a front plate on all 3 of my cars since i have been 16.... 21 now... and its the law here, and I haven ever been pulled over for it
