I couldn't sleep and this morning at 4am I turned on the TV and the first thing I saw in the new was that Croc. Hunter from Aussie was dead. I was shock and speechless.
The guy wrestled over a thousand lbs. croc. and man handled a King Cobra. It's hard to believe a not-so-aggressive stingray got him.
I told my wife that one day he was going to get seriously injured because he just jumps at dangerous animals. I guess it's all for TV and to generate fan interest. He's an incredible guy who did so much to wild animals preservation and to numerous charities. He's actually one the people I would like to meet someday. What a shame, I'm definately going to miss him.
"Stingrays have flat bodies and tails with serrated spines, which contain venom and can cause cuts and puncture wounds. The creatures are not aggressive and injury usually occurs when a swimmer or diver accidentally steps on one."
close but it is not venom they contain it is millions of bacteria/mixed with nasty salt water.

There's a video circulating around the internet where Steve Irwin pulled the sting off his chest before dying. I think they are trying to prevent people from seeing it because it's horrific.
