How much do you make an hour?

Working wise...just curious of what all you guys make per hour. I have been working at a grocery store for 1 year...im only making $6.65. I need a new higher paying job! What do you guys make? If you want to tell that is!

$11 for 40 hrs a week, and $16.50 for the 10 hrs of overtime

we should list our ages too, cuz there are 16 year olds on the board, as well as 40-50 year olds

i make $12 as an engineering intern. 6.65 is bull. if you want good cash, go work as a waiter. its good money but you give up alotta nights (unless you dont have a problem partying after work). you dont have a birthday listed, but it sounds like ur still in high school. honest to god dude, the best way to make FAT cash is to go around your neighborhood mowing lawns. a kid down teh street from me did it, and now 4 years later he's got a whole team of guys that work for him and enuf equipment to run it. drives a big ol like 97 chevy p/u with a hood scoop, rims, and a full exhaust. it's pretty sweet. hell, he could probably sell the business and the equipment off to the guys working for him and go to college next year if he wanted.
construction is another good way to make money. if you can get a job remodeling, do it. the pay might only be marginally better, but the skills you learn there can be used later when you have money to buy a house. you could buy a beater house, rehab it, and then sell it for double. the only trick is making sure what you buy can be repaired for profit.
long story short, dont work at a place just to work. your there to make money, either in the long or short run. unless its a career... then you gotta like what you do.

im 18 and just graduated high school last june. I really need a new job!!!!! Im taking a year off and heading to college next fall. Thanks man...hopefully i find something!

i'm a valet manager at a hotel. i make $5/hour plus tips. when you average it out its been anywhere from $8-$22/hour. the only time i make that much money is when its really busy for the weekend, which is about one weekend per month.

i make 7.50 an hour working for a mortgage company auditing loans and whatever else there is to do.

I obviously don't make enough...just overdrafted, money flies when you don't keep track. I make<$8. However, in training to make $14.95, w/o a degree. Can't wait to see what my degree will get me ; )

65 an hour when I'm doing moves :)
im 23 :D
alot less when im at my job
need more moves to make it that much all the time (2 to 4 a week = 10 to 20 hours a week)

22 yrs young, E-4 military overseas, we just worked it out here at work and we make 10.67 a hour which isn't that much but we dont pay for med, food, housing, so its all good.

I'm 25, and I make $18 an hour working part time as an exterior carpenter. I started at $8 when I was 18. My wife and I both keep our lives simple so we can get by working 3 days a week. She makes $14 an hour.

Im 21 and I think its something like 25$ hr...for 6hr days....but I get paid when I can....damn non paying clients. :(

I do building maintenance (formal title is "Lead Building Maintenance") at Manpower International Headquarters. Started here when I was 19 @ $5.50/hour in March 1990. I've been here for 16 years, now at $15.00/hour. looooong time to get that far. We get very small raises each year; Just how the company is. I like it here, however, I'm actually looking into working for Otis Elevator as a mechanic. Might be fun to work on elevators/escalators as they have always fascinated me. So we'll see, have to check into it further...

It doesn't sound like you calculated that you are on the clock 24/7. I figured it out one time and it was just over $1.25/h when I was an E-4. Or are you counting the COLA?

I'm 34 and make $11.33 as a Service Technician. Not alot, but they make up for it in 'benifits'.
