I usually use Mobil 1 full syn.
but I rebuilt my engine and have been using TONS of oil
so I'm using the Wal-mart SuperTech syn. now
I use 5w-30 in winter, and mostly 10w-30 in summer
2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!
thats a big  nothing but for the last 45k miles which is bringing me to 105k total and still purring (and occasionally roaring)
2000 3.8L Camaro A4 Pewter Y87<br />K&N Filter, SLP Ram Air kit, Eibach Pro Kit, Flowmaster 80 series, Silverstars, NGK plugs and MSD Super Conductor Wires, Electric Water Pump
I used Valvoline durablend when I had my camaro. With the T/A I'm using Mobil 1 full synthetic. When I get a chance to look for it though, I'm going to be looking for the German Castrol 0w-30. The guys over at ls1tech rant and rave about how good it is for our engines. So, I'll try that in about three months and see how things go
I always heard standard valvoline wasn't good in Pontiacs. It would burn up and cake on as Pontiacs run a little hotter. Never thought too much until I blew my head gasket and there was burnt oil everywhere. Then my girlfriends Bonneville had upper intake gasket go and hers looked the same as mine. After that I only run Castrol or Pennzoil.
i use castrol high mileage but i never used that Lucas bottle .....what is that? what does it do?
I believe its called Lucas Oil Treatment, it just helps quit things down, i could really notice, i think it runs smoother, I heard about it from a friend of mine that used to run dirt dragsters. however ive also heard it doesnt do anything, but i think it does, its really up to the driver. I'd try it, i dont think it can hurt anything.
