Yea, stuff like this gets me because I've had this happen to every car I've owned. I put a lot of planning into where I park. Think about it. If you park FAR away from everyone else, you are grabbing for attention. The key is to park as close to everyone as possible, but in a spot that has the least chance of someone pulling right next to you. It's an art form, :p.

I'm the same way. When at school I park it in the back, where other cars park, but not many. Plus, I know the security officer there very well, and ask him to keep an extra eye out for my car. He told me the other day someone was looking into it, but it was just my brother.

When at Wal-Mart or anything, I just park where ever, as long as I'm near a security camera. Even if I have to walk 2 football fields, as long as I know my car's fine, I'm fine.

yeah well i know it sucks because people want their car to look nice but my car has scratches all over it lmao. i want to paint it but i know the second i do some douchebag is going to come on by and key their name into the door or something lame like that. scratches dont bother me to much now i just cover them up with some touch up paint which isnt noticable on the road but if u get up to it u can see the clean as day like the long one by my door handle lol anyway sorry to hear that. sad to see people do stuff like that more then likely it was some young kid or drunk college students trying to have some "fun" a lot of those in my town lol

my advice, dont park out in the open with free spaces around u. dontpark and take up two spaces because that is just going to make u an easy target. when i go to stores i usualy try to park right next to a handicap spot and with cars all around not to many people want to smash their door against ur car just to scratch paint off their door as well.

yea when i worked over the summer i would park in the corner where this tree was. it gave me plenty of space so no one could open there door and and chip mine. i would be pissed too. its just the fact that people can't repsect other ppl's things.i was going to suggest getting a car bra and use it occassionally but thats not ***hole proof. just a thought.

Exactly. And especially when it's out in an open lot. It's not like you parked up close at a packed walmart and took 2 spots. Nah, the real problem here is there are sick and twisted people out there. These people need to be caught in the act, then pummelled with a baseball bat.

That really sucks....I got a dent in my hood one time parked at a grocery store, and a basket was pushed up against it. I still have no idea what caused it (the basket couldn't have), but the fix was an entire hood repaint.

This reminds me of something: when I was at Wal-Mart the other day some snotty ***** lazily pushed her basket toward the basket storage thing and it missed. She walked off not caring, and the basket bounced off the metal of the storage thing and went rolling across the parking lot, banging into some guy's truck. She saw it happen, and had to have known, but didn't care. She just got into her Lexus RX (every snotty biotch drives one of those) and left. As she was shutting her door I yelled "good job!!" I don't know if she heard me.

There are so many people out there that are totally disrespectful to the property of others, whether they damage it on purpose or through carelessness.

Kristen, you should get some hardcore polish after those remaining scratches, and if they don't come out I would try a light wetsand. Or find someone with a rotary buffer that knows how to use it.....

Funny story that happened to a friend of mine at a shopping mall parking lot. He was getting back in his car, which is an old beater but nonetheless this lady is getting into her car in the spot beside him. As she gets into her car, she opens the door really hard and smashes my buddy;s passenger side door. He gets out to take a look and there is a dent in his door and a nice scratch. So as the woman is starting to pull out, she opens the window and get this, says to him, "oh don't worry about it, it's an old car nobody will care." My friend just got off work and was wearing his steel toe boots. He's a pretty big guy, after she said that he wound up and with all his strength kicked her passenger side door and put a huge dent in it. Said to her, "don't worry either, nobody will give a ****.". She was a *****, driving some nice car. That was classic.
