I would pay off the cards, then use the money you freed up to mod the car.

For those saying to keep paying the car to help is credit - he has two car payments and a mortgage. Sounds like he's fine in the credit department. FYI, credit card debt hurts your credit score (from what I was told - I am not a lender/banker/etc)

keep it and pay your credits cards and car off normally. just all of a sudden paying off you debit will hurt your score.

I wouldn't worry about paying off the car early affecting your score if you're doing well with everything else. Credit card debt shouldn't hurt unless you're close to your limits. I'd think anything below a 50% balance to credit limit ratio probably helps more than it hurts, but I'd pay it off anyways if you have the money available.

Edit-From my last credit score report:

            What factors raise your score?

You have no open installment loans, such as auto loans, on your credit report. This positively influences your credit score because lenders feel you are more likely to pay your other bills without the fixed monthly payment attached to an installment plan.

If you don't have a house... save for a downpayment on one.

Then I would pay of credit cards. As long as you have no issues paying the bills.

Other then that. I would just slap it straight into a longterm investment for the future. I know thats the most boring one, but if you get bonuses every now and then, you can blow another bonus another time.
