I hear ya bud. You won't know till you take one out for a test drive. Definitley don't take opinions from people who have never even sat in the car let alone drive it.
I briefly looked at one for sale on a used car lot for the heck of it. Seems like too much money for what you get though.
I know im on this Legacy kick now, but if you go with an 03 Legacy GT, you'll get AWD, decent gas mileage, well built car and semi sporty at a reasonable price similar price for one of those. Something to look into maybe?
what are they going for now? I was looking at them before I bought my 2k v6
Don't get an srt-4 as a daily driver. They have been known to need a rebuild around 60k miles. Granted that most of them are probably beat on pretty hard.
Maximas are nice cars and will have a lot more power then the sentra. What about an older wrx or maybe a mazda 6?

my friend has one, it is pretty nice. i never thought about one of those, i figured it would be out of my price range.
i did get the job i was interviewing for so i'll be out driving around all the time. another car that popped into my head was a mazdaspeed protege. i really like the look to them and the one's a few years old aren't too expensive. i'm going to start test driving in about 2 weeks so i'll get a better idea then.

I follow a forum for Nissan cars with the SR-20 motor. I've read quite a bit about the QR-25 motor that in in the Sentra SE-R and have driven my sisters SPEC-V and borrowed over night an SE-R automatic. The cars do drive nice and have decent power. But I've also read too many reliability problems with that motor. The screws that hold the throttle plates in can come undone and be ingested into the engine. They normally pass out without causing damage, but not in all cases. Also there is a catalyic converter in the exhause manifold that is known to come apart and pieces can make their way into the engine. If you want a Sentra look at the 00-01 SE model. They have the SR-20 motor which is extremely durable and pretty quick. It has a 7000 rpm redline. I have a 91 NX2000 with that motor and it is as fast as my 90 Camaro 305 was. Plus it gets 27-30 mpg. Also the SE model will be cheaper than the newer SE-R.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
