I still can't understand why people in Europe stand so friggin close to the racetrack when a car goes whizzing by. It's almost like they are asking for it.

One of those was footage of the famous accident at the 1955 24 hours of le mans. Where a Mercedes drove into an earth embankment and threw its engine into the packed grandstand, killing 81 people.

I noticed that one too, it was the last video. Them guys were crazy back then. Driving with leather helmets, no seat belts and no roll cages.

that's gotta hurt. did they show the video where there is a man crossing th street and alll of a sudden a fall crashes and falls right on top of him. think i saw it on ebaumsworld.. i didnt catch it in there.

It was a different mind set tho. A reporter once asked Sterling Moss: "..but wasn't it dangerous?" To which Sir Moss said: "Good lord no. You have to remember, this was the first time in 5 years that nobody was shooting at you."

Did you catch the orange truck near the end? It runs over this person real good, looks like the wheel went over the person's head or neck.

90% of those were race spectators standing on the edge of the track or idiots that werent paying attention to/ running into the cars... so i dont really have sympathy for most of them, cuz it's really their own fault..
