Imagine the dude sitting up against the tree had nothing to do with the shooting. A bad day for a guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Then how would this conversation go? Are the cops wrong then?

I'm not being a p*ssy as Fireball suggests, just after doing a minor in criminal law through college, they teach you not to think with your emotions of the situation, but of the law and proper way to handle it and to look at all the "What If's".
Yeah, cops are human, but they are trained not to let their emotions take hold of a situation.
BTW, no doubt the guy was guilty and deserved every bullet. :p It's just a stretch to let the police make the positive identification from so many yards away and open fire, so yeah I can understand the opinions in here.
