Inspections SUCK, Lost Tint

My friend went to get his firebird inspected today.
Its a black 95 formula. the ONLY illegal thing on it is the tint
without warning the guy doing the inspection ripped it off(its only 20%)
thats:bs: but w/e, what can u do


i hope he doesnt rip off my exhaust for not having cats, or my blinkers for being white, or the Apillar gauges for being above my dash or MY tint or my or w/e else he could find....

I am really suprised he ripped it off. The worst he should do is fail the car. You friend should complain and get that guy's inspection license revoked.

i find it hard to believe he just ripped it off. now, he might have said "i can rip this off or fail you." that i could believe.

ive passed safety with clear corners, blackouts on all three tails and rear corners, not to mention no front plate in a state where its required.

also, they dont check your exhaust on safety inspections. thats left for the emissions people.

I would have told him off at the very least. That's complete BS. You should tell your friend to report that. Who gives these people the right to violate your vehicle like that, even a policeman wouldn't do that.

^^ Yup, over here one of my students got pulled over for dark tint and the officer took a razor to the window and slashed an "X" over it while telling him to get it off of the car! I can't believe they get away with that.

I've gotten 3 no front plate tickets it looks so ****ing stupid. I've complained so many times. How many older guys in vettes get tickets? How many BMW with no front plates get pulled over for it? it just such bull****, **** the police.

Yep, I just got pulled over for window tint a few days ago...f***ing 50% tint on my side windows and they pulled me over, talk about BS. I just paid the 85 bucks rather than ripping it off, and I'll just keep my fingers crossed that I don't come across another bored highway cop. I guess I can see why they don't want you to have 5% on your side windows, but I mean c'mon 50%? I'm moving to California dammit.

That is just unreal. You can even damage glass doing something like that. These people need to be reported. I have a feeling there is a little bit of law enforcement bullying going on in cases like this... I'd like to see if they would do this sort of thing with an older man at the wheel, instead of a young teenager.

I don't think inspections are all that bad. I remember my friends trying to drive messed up cars with tires that had the cords showing. Inspections keep unsafe cars off the road.
