  • Weight Loss Bet:

So I somehow bet my girlfriend that I could lose more weight than she could in 1 month (which started about 2 days ago). It ends in Thanksgiving. I'm 6' 0" and 185 lbs, and she's I'd say... 5'8" and 145 lbs.

So, I have a month to lose probably 25 pounds.. I don't really care how unhealthy I get, as long as I win... and it doesn't hurt me too bad physically. I know with diet and excercise, I could lose a few pounds, but I want more.

Last day I plan on losing all my water weight and taking a huge dump, quite possibly a *cough* enema *cough*.

Any recommendations on diet pills, or good weight loss?

HA this is the best comp. ever! I like how you are going to take a huge dump, she is prob thinking it but wont say it out loud.

Just dont eat as much, if you excersise it might help, but I would do more running and cardio stuff rather than lifting, because muscle ways more than fat. When I use to wrestle we would spit before a meet to loose weight. Dont know if it really helped, but it can't hurt :D

            Re: Weight Loss Bet:

            Diet pills are worthless.

eat less and exercise A LOT.

I made this same bet with my girlfriend a year ago. I lost 20 lbs. in two weeks and she gave up. She only lost 7 lbs. in that amount of time. Of course, I have a lot of extra weight to drop compared to her, so it wasn't too hard to lose 20 lbs. Just taunt your girlfriend by telling her how much weight you're losing, and she'll give up, handing you the win.

I also used to wrestle, and here are some tips I can give:

            1. Wear a lot of extra clothes when you work out, plus a ski cap. You lose a lot of heat through your head, and you want to insulate yourself with extra layers of clothing to keep you body temperature up. This makes you sweat more and also increases your metabolism (if i remember correctly).

            2. As flyfrito said, spitting before weigh-in can help. Make sure you do it for a couple of hourse before you weigh yourself to see the best results.

            3. In relation to #1, try to work out in a hot environment. Not warm, HOT. the temperature of the room you're in should be at least 100 degrees. Close the door(s) and crank up the heat. You want it to be so hot that you sweat just standing there.

            4. For a little extra sweating (seems to be a pattern here...) get a portable heater for your bedroom. Turn it on "high" a few hours before you go to bed, and close the door. The room should be like an oven by the time you go to sleep. Sleep in extra clothes to insulate yourself, and drink some water before you go to bed. You'll need it. Don't be surprised if you wake up a pound or two lighter just from sweating at night.

After all this sweating, though, drink a couple glasses of water to re-hydrate. Dehydration will make you very weak and is life-threatening if it goes too far. There's a safe way to do things, and a dangerous way to do things. Do it safely.

i dropped from 290 to 180 in about 6 months when i was 20. i cut out 2 meals a day and ate just once. twice a week i wouldnt eat at all. never worked out, but i would play football or basketball or something physical just to burn off some calories. never had any issues with it, never sick, never felt tired or hungry but thats me not you. probably wasnt healthy for me to do it, but i hated being fat so much that i didnt care what it took i was dead set on losing the weight as fast as possible. i hated it so much that i burned every picture of me when i weighed 290. funny thing is in the last 4 years ive gained maybe 10lbs and eat like i did when i was 290.

lol try trim spa.. it worked for anna nicole smiths fat@$$.

                God you guys are harsh.

Most guys would kill for a way to tell their girlfriend to lose weight.

Honestly, run, run, run, drink lots of water (gotta keep hydrated, screw water weight, if you drink enough water you'll actually lose weight because it cleans your system) and eat healthy; meaning portion your meals if your gonna eat crap

                  Re: Weight Loss Bet:

25lbs. in one month is a bad idea. If you two could lose 2 or at most 3 and no more than that the better.

If you did lose 25lbs it's a sure bet that you will gain it back plus more.

By the way, men can lose the weight a lot faster than women in general.

ha...i lost 30 lbs. in two weeks before my senior year wrestling season in high school. I weighed 200 lbs. for football, and two weeks later I was down to 170 lbs. They say it's not good for your body, but I didn't have any ill effects. I weigh 260 now, because I'm lazy and I eat a lot. I want to get back down to around 200, with more muscle. I need to join a gym...

Wrestling is a totally different thing. It's very extreme and unhealthy. You deprive yourself of food and workout way too much. That's like the anorexic way (misspelled)

You go through extensive water lost and muscle depletion rather than fat lost. I know because I used to be a wrestler in my sophmore year.

Now you're 260 because you can't maintain that kind of lost with that kind of regiment. That's what I mean by losing weight and gaining it back plus more.

eat less, eat better, cut something like regular sodas out of your diet, eat more times a day, and exercise alot, drink assloads of water...

not sure if the heat thing is true.

I'm 260 because I sit on my *** and watch TV, and eat an entire box of macaroni and cheese (not the regular boxes either, i eat the family size boxes) or some other artery-clogging food. Why? because it tastes good and I'm too lazy to get off the couch and exercise.

I was in the best shape of my life when I was wrestling. I ran I don't know how many miles every day for 5-6 days out of the week, then lifted weights for an hour (i can still bench-press a little over 300 lbs.), and then the actual wrestling part of practice started for an hour and a half. I didn't lose muscle. Water weight was lost in the early season, but by the time my weight stabilized I was well-hydrated.

So why don't I go back down in weight? I don't have someone pushing me to do so. I loved to wrestle, but now that I'm out of it, I'm not motivated anymore. Screw joining the gym, I'm gonna join a wrestling club like I did during the off-seasons....
