This is not a flame, it's just honest and not personal.

I too find the idea that just an ignition on a stock car would pick up two tenths a little hard to believe. I have two choices.

Maybe the test, however well intentioned and designed, was wrong. Or an aftermarket ignition is worth 10HP on an otherwise completely stock car.

Nothing personal, I'm going with number one. It would cost GM next to nothing to provide a better spark. Change the coil specs, change a few components in the ignition box. They're not going to leave 10 HP on the table for that. No downsides either, if a better spark helped horsepower it would no doubt help emissions and cruising mileage too. Maybe something was wrong with the stock ignition in the test.

I run DIS4 and i can pretty much guarantee those results, that isnt even the point of the thread however. The point was to offer suggestions for upgrading his ignition.

I went there once and looked up stuff and quite a few people there just seem to like drama. Maybe its a bunch of histronics but damn...maybe none of those guys have went through puberty yet. It's like they answer a question right away then make fun of you for asking, at least the few threads I actually read.

Then he saw the other peoples posts and started bashing like he knew what was going on

Not to put down any of the younger people (16-17) on this board (cuz ur all alright in my book) but i can bet it was 16 yr old that just got his license and is looking to get into the 10's with basic bolt ons

Just like what was said before, there are the good ones and the stupid ones. I have been over there for quite sometime and have recently started posting here again. My experience here has been about the same as over there. I just post there more because I live in Houston and there are more people from Houston there, I think. Anyways stupid people here, stupid people there, you guys should know its like that everywhere. I dont think its to far from stupidity to post on one site bad stuff about another... you just sunk to there level. Lol.
