why'd your coworker give him the money? That was kind of stupid...
Any cameras in the bank?
i know at my job (not a bank) my boss always says if somebody comes in just give them the money, dont even try to resist, its not worth losing your life over, i would imagine a bank would have some more serious robbers, and i would imagine their bosses say the same thing

Well see, i always think about it from the robbers point of view: They want the cash. You have access to the cash. Therefore they'll try to scare you into giving it to them, cuz they can't do it without you. If they kill you, they're in the same prediciment they were in before (pennyless).. except that they're wanted for murder.
However, you've got to judge the perportraitor. Most robbers aren't up to the task, but some (homeless people or drug addicts with nothing to lose) are, so managers (especially in liquor or convience stores) will tell you to just give them the money just in case. As a catch all. Which makes perfect sense. In a large bank however, with cameras and lots of witnesses theres no way the robber would have killed anyone. She probably would have been quite safe just ignoring him.

In our branch if the robber were to kill you, he could literally reach over the desk and grab the money right out of the drawer. The teller said he was banging a metal object, which was inside his jacket, on the desk. I believe that is enough to possibly stir up an "implied weapon" conviction.
bank deposits up to $100,000 are fdic insured.
i say give them the money with a smile (gotta maintain good customer service) and let taxpayers around the country (there are quite a few) absorb the loss.
save the heroics for when someone attempts to carjack you.

Oh man... your bank sucks then. J/K
Yea, well if you're totally expendable then yea, give it too him.
And i know its not my money, but i just think the idea of "open that locked cash draw or you die" is just funny. :)

if he could reach over the counter or not does not matter. another one of our locations in the 'inner city' have bullet proof glass with microphones and everything. someone jumped on the counter with a fricken shotgun and threatened them from above .

Hahaha, i guess the designers didn't completely think the security thing through eh?
Anyone seen The Getaway? That shows you just how pathetically easy it is to rob a bank (apparently). .... Course that is Steve McQueen sooo....

My work got robbed of $54,000, guy came in though afterhours and just ripped doors down, held janitors up at gunpoint then got into our drop safe.
got caught a few hours later.
At my work we are told just give him the money, its insured anyways... In the end its probalby cheaper then getting sued by an employee who gets ina scuffle , gets shot, then claims the work put them in a dangerous situation by telling him to not give them money.
Yah, the movies are just like real life. Just wait till I finish teaching my dog how to play basketball, I'll be rich when he makes the Lakers!
You're an idiot. Of course they are! Every movie is an exact parody of real life, or have you not read that chapter of the history books where Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum saved the earth from marauding aliens? ... Though i'm greatly intrested in how they rebuilt New York, Washington DC, and Houston so quickly..

I'm guessing you've never had a gun pulled on you, or even been in a room with someone that pulled a gun out on someone. Its kinda hard to ignore, and I'm not talking about dad and grandpa getting ready to go get that 8 point
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
