    ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

put dry ice next to a lit candle and see what happens.

Answer: the flame goes out cause it pushes the oxygen away leaving the CO2 it releases.

Do you want something in your air intake like that? dry ice may be cold but some people are just dumber than dog poo

        Re: Dry Ice?

The dry ice would have to be in a sealed container NEXT TO whatever you are trying to cool.

ON the intake manifold would cool the mixture, making more power.

INSIDE the system would be wrong - CO2 doesn't burn well.

and then get arrested for a weapons/explosive charge.. yeah... not so fun. My friend was arrested for that.

But yeah, dry ice and engines don't mix.

I'm not sure i would stick dry ice on my warm intake manifold. might bust it, might not

Ok, you're right, not completely sealed, more like vented.

dry ice is just frozen CO2... not the best for horsepower gains.

                            Common sense, honestly.

No, if we know that it won't burn well why would we vent it into the engine?

dont get pissy, theres a giant sucking action going on in your engine bay
if you have carbon dioxide in high concentrations under the engine bay wheres it going to go?
                              into the intake?
how do you control where you vent it?
