Yeah it was, and DLS ending forced me to work an extra hour on Trauma call.
You would think that in winter time when the days are shorter is when you would want to save the daylight. BTW, what happened to all the daylight we save each summer? Do we get interest on it?

Why is there references to WWII about daylight savings; all along I thought it was farmers who requested DLS. Or maybe it was the Railroad; they started the time zones we have today. There are some states that do not participate in DLS (Arizona - i think) Alaska should not IMO.

The story about farmers is myth, it's got it backwards.
DLS started in Britain in WWI as an energy (coal) saving deal. It went to the US, where financial types liked it because it was easier doing business overseas.
The farmers hated it because it made them get up even earlier and got it repealed. It came back in WWII, once again for energy savings. This time the financial types liked it even better because it encouraged shopping after work. And they won.
Railroads just need consistency. I imagine they don't like DLS because it's inconsistent.
