That's not the point: now (if the law passes) US citizens can be detained abroad when they try to come back home or the HSA can decide whether or not YOU can leave the country. This isn't about foreigners coming in, the Feds are trying to restrict our right to travel.

wtf kind of sentence is this?
It's a legal sentence, and every word makes sense to me. The sarcasm is unnecessary: no one is saying elections won't be held, but restriction of our rights to this degree is very frightening.

V6Bob: I hear you man. As for the wiretapping, that's not why Nixon resigned, his White House tapes were just how they caught him ;)

No I didn't actually. I generally support the republican candidate more than the democrats, but George Bush is the spawn of satan. It actually scares me what he is doing to the country. I'm hoping that the democrats will be able to find a way to get him out of office before he can cause any further damage. What he does is simply unconstitutional.

To those of you that STILL support Bush, why? Do you not see how many of our rights are being taken away? And in what, the name of fighting terror? When do you say terror has been beaten? It can go on as long as he wants it to.

You guys are quick to blame Bush on this (it might be him in the first place there are players in this case, and it hasn't been sign). How about blaming the Terrorist for a change.

We are just living in different times. That thing is making sound worst when in truth it is not. That the negative liberal media way of making you change party support.

You only have to worry if you are a suspected Terrorist. Getting permission and clearance would be a swift thing.

The problem is we don't do racial profiling. America is so sensitive when it comes to that. But in truth we should. Let's face it, most Terrorist act are done by Middle Eastern people.

Take my brother in law, he fly's a bi-plane in and out of Mexico. He told me how he could just go in and out without being check. He say how easy it is to carry a bomb if he were a terrorist.

Re: It's starting to get rediculous

Just listen to some Michael Bolton and all your worries will drift away ; ) I do agree there has been enough of Bush. I will do my part and vote for who I believe will do the best for our country. Defend your rights maybe someone up there in the gov. will listen if enough of us shout instead of whine and do nothing. The possibility of that is gloom but miracles happen. We as the people can make changes happen (we can't depend of the gov. to help with that), it's just no one is able to get anything of amountable power organized. Now probably isn't the right time for change though, I'm sure more freedom destroying policies are to come, maybe then enough people will get pissed off enough to do something. I love my country don't get me wrong but I want change and if I figure out how I can help effectively in doing that I will.

Yeah the founding fathers are weeping, because they're dead. Things change over time, and because of this we have to change some things that are effected by the changing times.

I would like to see what would happen if we let all of these precautions go. Well, i really wouldn't like to see it because it wouldn't be pretty. I believe it was Clinton that cut a lot of government funding.

i'll be back after lunch

I thought the quote i put up was good for the discussion and on topic, I wasn't saying that i truely believe it. Sorry guess i was in a hurry and forgot to mention it.

I like some of the quotes you put up, but the fact is if you told the masses that, half of them wouldn't understand it. People don't realize whats going on right now and sadly they won't until its too late.
