Not trying to sound like a smart-***, but since you didnt do anything wrong....whats there to learn? I hope that you got your money reimbursed to you for having your car towed. The thing with alot (not all) of cops is....if you hang out with "racers" or drive a car like racers drive....they automatically think you will exhibit the same behavior....kinda like a "guilty by association" type thing. At least you got out of it, still sucks though.
I learned cops are F***ers, and they can f*** with your life. How do you pull people over... then here I come a couple of mins later and that gives them the right to arrest me. I had to stand infront of a judge and tell my story and I did get all my money back. All in all street racing is not worth it and can ruin alot of people lives/things.
I street race with 3 bottles of NOS and diamond plate floor boards and never get caught I'm too fast and too furious....anyway, better that happens out there than here ; ) Cops do judge quickly but when its potentionally threatening they have to; it is there job. They do go overboard though sometimes.

Careful now, you wouldnt' want this thread to get locked would you? ;)
I think that the best way to stop the street racing is to build government funded 1/4mile drag strips in areas where racing is popular. That way people can get their speed bug out in a safe enviorment, instead of on the roads indangering other people. Kinda like what they did with the skateboarding epidemic in the 70s and building skateboarding parks.

I used to race on a track. I'm a fanatical follower of racing, all kinds. I know the effort real racers have to do to race, and I respect them for that.
To me using the word "racing" to describe street screwing around is insulting to racing. My computer simulations are much more like real racing, they require time, effort, and skill. Winning is hard.
No big surprise. Now insurance companies are going to the local drag strips and taking pics of people plates (who are racing) and cancelling insurance for racing your car legally at the track and that cost on average $25 to race. Then people go out and street race and get caught. So whats a guy suppost to do now? :(
.
now thats some serious bull****
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
Ya there are only a few insurance companies that will keep your insurance policy, check with your companies if you race! Some are even nice enough to insure your car while its on the track if it's not a timed race, and its more of a Performance Driving Experience day at a track.
