    Re: Moving to Cali

I used to live in San Juan Cap about 14 miles south of Irvine.
Irvine is all, over-priced track homes, 2 kids, soccer lessons, mommy vans and boredom. Lots of cops to observe your driving too. Take a ride south on the 405 freeway, exit at Ortega Highway go left toward the mountains. You will find 30 miles of the most challenging two lane road ever...it leads to Lake Elsinore. You get up as high as about 2600 feet. There have been a lot of deaths there as people who overdrive the turns.
Orange County is boring...segmented...Vietnamese in Garden Grove, Mexican nationals in Santa Ana, Anaheim, Asians and Anglo people in Irvine. Laguna Beach is the gay capital of Orange County in contrast to what you see on MTV. Homes start in Laguna Beach at about $950,000 and by the time you can afford that your kids are grown and gone. Capistrano Beach is mostly mexicans and anglo. California has 34,000,000 people and the crowds get to be too much. El Torito in Newport Beach is good on Friday nights. Single women in Newport are gold diggers, they can size you up quick. Bon Voyage.
County. Most people are married with kids. Cost of living is
well....wait until you find out. Unless you are making at least
$150K...its hard to have a good life there b/c of the cost of living. Bon Voyage.

... Not to mention 3k flies to the front... :(

Cali is cool... but almost everyone here is a flake, and like they said the cost of living is ridiculous.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. S. Calif. is the most multi-cultural you could ever get. But Irvine is really not that boring. Half of my relatives live there. You're close to the coast, amusement parks, and ritzi people. It's pretty lively compare to most places in other states.

                    S. Calif. is over crowded compare to N. Calif probably because of the things you could do here. But yes the cost of living is riduculous. That's because of the people who are emigrating here. Irvine is actually #2 most expensive place to live. Beverly Hills is #1.

Irvine has a lot of hot chicks. More so than anywhere else I've seen.
