On the other hand, with science, one person does all the work researching and learning and w/e but it only takes a comparitively small time to learn how to use those scientific techniques. So basically we are taking full advantage of nature through our scientific work with no sense of respect for what we learn.
I dont say it as good as he does but i'm sure one day we're gonna kill ourselves off. i'm waiting for the day when we'll plug ourselves into computers a' la The Matrix...
    +10 for referencing Jurassic Park!!

I believe the quote you are looking for is:

"I-i am astounded at the lack of humility displayed before nature here. Genetics.. is the most powerful force the world has ever seen, and yet you wield it like a kid who's found his grandfathers gun!
... No, i'll tell you what the problem is. The problem is that it didn't take any dicipline to get there. Your scientists simply looked at what others had done before them, and they took the next step. They didn't learn it for themselves, so they don't take any responsibility-
... Yes, but your scientist were so concerned over whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should! And.. before you even knew what you had you-you patented it.. and packaged it.. and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox! And now (bang) you're selling it! (bang) You're selling it!.."

Its from the movie... but its probably similar to the argument in the book (both of which are amazing in their own way).

            Re: The Human Race

I gotta be honest... the only thing I've been thinking about lately is how "stupid" people are in general: On cell phones while driving, cutting people off without turn signals, they walk in front of your car when you're driving, they can't count the correct amount of change to give you back when it's already figured out on the cash register, ect, ect... I could go on, but you guys get the point. ;)
