... No, i'll tell you what the problem is. The problem is that it didn't take any dicipline to get there. Your scientists simply looked at what others had done before them, and they took the next step. They didn't learn it for themselves, so they don't take any responsibility-
... Yes, but your scientist were so concerned over whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should! And.. before you even knew what you had you-you patented it.. and packaged it.. and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox! And now (bang) you're selling it! (bang) You're selling it!.."
Its from the movie... but its probably similar to the argument in the book (both of which are amazing in their own way).
