Like he said if you don't mind sharing, how much that cost you? Anyone know if Abbott Racing finances? I'm thinking seriously about a built engine myself but don't have the flow to make it go all at once but if they finance that would be gold.
he said a few posts later that the cost is not going to be disclosed. It is a pretty penny though
a freshly rebuilt Z28 rear end with 3.42 gears. We'll see if I break it :) Then I can get a Mosser rear!
mmm, ya even from a 6 that could be pushing the limit there.... They take about 400hp from the LT1 / LS1 with the torque of course. Hmm.. Should be close, thats why I'm just going to call it a day and get a Strange 12 bolt posi.

Tiago put 1K RWHP through his. I'm not worried about breaking the rear. I'll just put in a mossor rear then...

With WHAT? That wouldn't be his V6, he have an LS1 too or something?
They can take it to a point, but I have seen them come apart in the stock form 6spd 345hp optioned SS's and Firehawks at the track. Depends on how you treat it, and if you wheel hop....

He put 1000 RWHP through his rear (yea his M6 twin turbo LS1). I have the same rear except mines been freshened up. If I get some spin while launching then the rear end should be just fine. Requardless, I'm not replacing it until I break it. IT could be soonner than later, who knows :)

He sure as hell didn't put 1000whp on it to the ground.
Ya thats what I'm thinking, 1000whp on a line break with some grip would throw a factory axle right out the back of the car, wouldn't even blow the diff, it would just launch the whole axle. lol
But ya I understand the not replacing till you break it, especially if you arn't sure when and if you will. They cost a bit of money, and personally I think its kinda cool to watch them blow apart, as long as you are expecting it.
