  • I've figured it out

Ok I started the poll earlier and I've decided to stick with the 6. Here's a list of what my plans are so tell me what you think and if I'm missing anything feel free to let me know.

Abbott Racing Stage 3 Heads and Intake comes with 130# springs and titanium retainers.
ARP the hell out of it
    XP Camshaft
    Hydraulic Lifters
    Double roller timing chain
Pushrods - Can somebody explain oil restricted rods to me, I searched and found nothing
    1.7 Rocker arms
    MSD Coils and Plug Wires
    33 lb injectors
    255lph in tank pump
    Custom mail Tuned Computer
    Whisper lid and CAI
    Pacesetter coated headers
Cat back exhaust and hi flow cat. I haven't decided on an exhaust and will not put up a poll about it as it will probably start a riot.
    3000 torque convertor.

OK that's the list. As you can see I'm keeping it N/A for now but will probably add some giggle juice later on. Give me some feedback. Thanks in advance. Oh and so long as other things work out I do plan on doing this next year, keeping my fingers crossed though.

You still need rockers, timing chain dampner and timing set. I suggest ARP head studs and hardware as well.

If you plan on juicing it, I dont suggest a GT2 N/A cam either, you are better off with the XP Hot cam or the VS cam. GT2 wont give you that much power on the spray, its great for N/A, you will maximize power with the XP or VS.

I also dont suggest a mail order tune either, get a dyno tune.

Glad to hear you are staying with the v6 :)

OK so XP cam instead. Which rockers would you suggest? Timing chain single or double roller? I planned on ARP studs just forgot to list them. The tune I was looking at was PCM for less, I was def going to have it dyno tuned but was looking at them for the pcm config.

Yes, the XP cam is f'ing awesome on sprayed or boosted motors.

I'd go with 1.7 Pro Magnum rockers. Dont go any higher than that with an aftermarket cam though (i.e. 1.8 or 1.9 ratio).

        Double roller timing set

I still wouldnt waste time/money with a mail order tune, just do a dyno tune.

Hit us up in the Nitrous section when you are ready for juice.

When your saying dyno tune are you referring to something like HP tuners? I like the idea of that but don't know nearly enough and will blow my baby to hell if I do it. Or are you specifically saying take my stock computer and modfiied car to a dyno and let them do their thing with it.

:( Man I don't have the $$$$ right now. I just bought a condo with a good amount of equity so I'm planning all this for the first half of next year after I get that money back and pay some other debts. I'll def be checking the for sale sections here though.

I mean take it to a professional tuner who will put it on a dyno and tune it professioanally via HP Tuners.

OK I follow now. I understand engines well enough but the tuning part can be so complicated that I get lost with it all. Thanks for the help.

                    Re: I've figured it out

well 3.42's are off the list. I just checked the codes and found out my car came with them. As you can tell this is the former ricer coming out, I've never driven a RWD so I couldn't tell lesser or greater gearing. I'm such a dork.

Well **** it also has limited slip. so that's off the list. Clearly I've never done a burnout or have any friends to attest to one wheel or two wheel frying.

Well this kinda sucks, yeah I save money in not buying the new upgrades but I'll never know the huge diffrence of not having the gears and limited slip to having them.

It is but damn ya know. I feel really stupid having the car and looking forward to taller gears and limited slip and I already have it. It takes all the excitement out of that part now but yeah saving 500+ is nice. That will be my next poll, how stupid am I for driving the **** out of my car for 4 months and not knowing I had that. I'm not starting one so I don't want anyone answering that.

Thanks for the support, I know you all are laughing your asses off but your writing something diffrent. So with the other upgrades I listed the only other thing in the driveline is the TC and aluminum driveshaft. You guys think of any other weak links in the rear? Axle shafts?
