so yeah.. im coming home from work today and the sky literally opened up... like prolly 4" in half an hour.. horrible... all hte streets flooded.. so im just tryin to make it to my night job at autozone.. and i come ot a busy intersection.. with like 4-5" of water on the road.. well, needless to say, that i get to teh middle and the thign sputters a few times and thats that... i had to get out in teh downpour and push it to the side of the road.. up hill... tried wire dry.. nothing.. starter is turning over, but hte selonoid isnt kicking out.. just got home after having it towed back to my apartment.. so now i gotta go back out in the rain (tow driver couldnt take it into my driveway and i cant push it into my garage backwards.. and the only perosn i know in this damn city works til midnight.. and i cant call anyone cause my cell phone got soaked while talking to AAA and the dumb chick who needed a street name, though everyone nows the bridge i was at by its nickname.. she needed a name.. so in teh process, enough rain got the phone wet.. so i cant call anyone to help push..

    /rant....

sorry, had to get that out.. ok, now im out to get soaked pullin all the plugs and hoping that i didnt bend a damn rod when i got water in it...

oh, ihave the k&n FIPK intake.. for those with the same, be careful.. i was not revving at all, barely creaping thru the water in 1st gear... that wasnt close to my doors.. you've all been warned to not be a dumb *** like me if you have that as well..

Ouch man... That sucks... Well, I somewhat know how you feel, haha.

I was using my mothers Explorer for a camping trip literally 3 miles in the woods from the nearest town. I got it stuck in the middle of a pond because I was being a dumb@ss and a wave came over the hood stalling the engine. I had to get out, walk through the pond, 1/2 mile through the woods in the dark to a random camp fire to ask someone to tow me out.

When I finally got the truck towed out, my buddy cranked it and I watched the water fire out of it like a fire hose out the exhaust. 40kmi later and still no problems, so you may still be fine. :)

          Re: F$#@%##%@%$%@%@#$@

aight, so heres a quick update... as of 230 am, the oil's all been changed.. and the filter.. I removed all teh spark plugs, as well as the ignition fuse. All 6 plugs were wet. Wehn i was draining the oil, at least a pint of water ran out of the plug before i had it unscrewed all the way... i let it bleed all the water out first before i pulled teh plug all the way and let the oil come out... ok... so with the oil and filter changed, the plugs out, and the ignition fuse pulled, oh, and both ignition modules plugs are unplugged... I go to crank it to see if i can blow any other water out that might be stuck in there still.. nothing.. seems liek teh starter is shorting out.. you can hear the solenoid kicking out and thats it.. oh, and the interior lights noticably dim.. a few times prior to the solenoid actually working, the starter would just kick over and spin... I doubt this is looking good... I pulled the battery out and it started my beater right up (94 blazer), so the battery shoulda had enough juice in it. Im gonna put my extra starter in this weekend and go from there.... keepin my fingers crossed that this is just a starter issue and its not something thats gonna require me to tear into my short block... I guess we'll see htough..

oh, but at least my cell phone is working again now that its dried out....

depending on how much water your motor got into it, it very well could be hyrdolocked...............just a possibility.

if you drained water out of the oil pan, you are more than likely .... for lack of better letters......f'd That means there is water sitting on top of all your pistons right now.

how could it still be hyrdrolocked if I pulled all the spark plugs? wouldnt the engine be able to push the water out of the plug holes? I'm going away for work all day today, so its gonna sit til tomorrow.. then ill get at this thing again sat... ill keep ya all posted..
