  • Good Headphones

I want some good quality headphones. I've witnessed the sound quality of the Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones, and now i'm not happy with anything else.

I have Philips HN110's right now and they sound good, but the bass response just isn't enough.

Hopefully for under $100, I can get something that I like, but I would at least like to get something well under the $300 pricetag of the QCIIs that can be compaired to them.

Anybody know of some headphones that are worth while and fit the bill?

    A couple of suggestions:

    http://reviews.cnet.com/Sennheiser_P...-31296835.html

I have their predecessor, the PXC 250s, and like them a lot. I chose them over the Bose for price and portability, after reading excellent reviews.

If you can do without noise cancellation:

These are basically the 300s without noise cancellation.

The PX 100 is an open version of similar quality, if open works for you. Absurdly cheap for the sound.

Finally, if the portable size doesn't work for you:

These get rave reviews everywhere, but I've never tried them. Many people consider them the best available for $100.

    Here's a lot more info:

      Thank you very much bob

My friend has a pair of those 250s or 300s, i'm not sure which, i tried them for a song and i was very impressed. The sound quality was great and so was the noise canceling ability, but i was looking for something similiar to the HN110's in style, ones that cover the ear entirely. I may end up getting those 300s though since the reviews put them above the QC2's in sound quality.

Maybe the Grados will work for you?

AFAIK, the BOSE are the only large noise cancelling phones.
