i heard on the news yesterday, that some guy bought a PS3, and then put it on craigs list for sale for $5,000 dollars.
he had several people interested in it, so he met some guy at a gas station in the middle of the night, like 12 i think... and the guy he met jumped him and sprayed him with mace and stole his ps3, the cops busted the guys though.
When that POS Sony breaks in a year and a half don't cry. It will happen, my third PS2 just broke and I will NEVER buy Sony consoles again.
My next console will be an Xbox 360.

dont get me wrong i like 360, my brother had one of the first ps2's and his worked fine. The reason I went with PS3 is Blue Ray player and the fact that i just got a 51" HDTV to play them on.
Yeah I hear ya, I'm sure the PS3 is cool and I like the game selection for PS2, I'm just sick of having to buy new ones. It only has a 6 month warranty, then beyond that you have to send it in and pay over $100 to get it fixed. The problem is you either (a) get it fixed (not worth it) (b) buy a new one or (c) live without one, even though you've made hundreds of dollars of investments in games.
I hope I'm wrong about the PS3, but if I bought one I'd expect it to break just like my 3 PS2s. I hope it works out OK for you though. :)
