yea the doctor said somethin about a blood clot if i remember correctly.. but he also said it wouldnt be much of a concern cause thats not a major artery i think?
Correct. It's not a major artery, but still an artery none the less and they can cause you to loose more than enough blood to blackout if you cut into it or stab it.
You have two major arteries that you have to be careful not to injure, one in your neck and one in your right leg. When I was ran over by a forklift 2 years ago, I severed the artery in my right leg pretty badly and in 15 minutes I had lost an estimated 5 pints of blood. I almost blead to death right there at the scene of the accident. Once the helicopter got there and they air lifted me to the closest trauma/surgery hospital the Helicopter EMS guy asked me "How on Earth are you still concious, because 99.9% of the human population will blackout and loose conciousness after about 3 pints of blood loss. I will remember that question probably for the rest of my life, because I was staring into the sun out the helicopter door and said, "I'm scared if I blackout, I won't wake back up" I was just about to get married that weekend, and my wife called me that same day while I was eating lunch to tell me she was pregnant. I would have missed out on a lot.
