Actually, make your money back. Buy the car and go back and sew that dealership. I gurantee you 100% that the dealership knows that it's a car that recieved flood damage. And it's totally against the law if they try to sell it to you without telling you that it has been in a natural disaster such as a flood.

Just go back if the car is there, don't let him know that you have looked it up on Carfax and ask him to let you test drive it for the entire day just so you can get a good feel for it before you buy it. :) I gurantee someone at the Dealership is in charge of running the vin #'s through carfax and they know the exact history of the vehicle. They have to or else they would already have been sued for selling people vehicles that are possibly lemons, have been in a flood and they didn't tell them, or odometer discrepency.

If you don't want to do it, tell me where the car is, I will. :naughty:

This dealer takes cars that are damaged and repair them and sell them at a lower price. There are usually good deals, but this car is way over priced at $16,900. We are probably going to go back with the report and try and get it at a very low cost. My car's report looked just as bad when we bought it and it hasn't given us trouble, at least none that I haven't caused.

I'm still curious how he can sell it without letting the consumer know that it has seen flood damage. I live in a major area that was affected by Katrina and am still hearing about dealers breaking Federal Law code for selling vehicles that they had when Katrina hit and the cars were completely or partially submerged under water for at least a week's time.

These dealerships have either taken a great loss for fines, or went out of business since due to not being able to afford the fines and keep their dealership open.

They did say it had water damage, just not in the detail the report mentioned. When we purchased my car, that's the first thing they told us. They are a respectable dealership, but they over priced this car. Considering the condition and carfax, its an 11K car at most and not the 17K they are pricing it at.

dude. you can find a better deal on a NON rebuilt title car than that one.

even if the car drives fine, you don't want the brakes to fail when you driving 75 MPH .........my point is, even if it drives fine, it could have some problems down the road in later time...............but if you REALLY want to buy the car, make sure you take a copy of the carfax and drag the price down as much as you can........... with that kind of title/condition, can you buy extended warranty? .....ask the dealer.........

If he wants 17k for the car, I'm scared to see what he would tell you the extended warranty is going to cost.
