Alright I have broken down and decided i am sick of hand tools, I am heading over to sears today to pick up a compressor/tank , and some tools. What do you recommend in terms of compressor hp and tank size? and i am thinking going all Craftsman tools, but if you have any recomendations, PLEASE give them, thanks.

I am not sure on tank size for the compressor, but our garage has pretty much all Craftsman air tools and I love them. Even our compressor is Craftsman, we've had it for several years and its never given us problems.

as far as a compressor goes i have a craftsman with a rating of 4(3 hp 150psi 15gal) if your going to use it a ton i would get a 6 rating my keeps up for the most part except heavy 1/2in air ratcheting or orbital sander use, get a quality impact with some balls(400ftlbs) and go cheap for you air ratchet the rest depends on what your going to do with it.

Lowe's has some good deals going on right now.. they have a ~15 gallon compressor with I think a 2hp electric motor, with a tool set for ~$300. Its a decent deal. I'm just buying all this stuff myself, so ive been pricing around. I normally use craftsman for all my tools, but i couldnt afford the extra $100-$200 right now to get all the stuff craftsman...

But look around.. Lowe's has good deals on sets, Home Depot is ok... just look around and compare.. I had to get a certain set cause my garage is only 110V/20A.. so check things like that too wh ile you're at it...

also, dont forget to get things like hose, fittings, teflon tape.. that sorta stuff.. and an air drye wont hurt either...

My dad's house. :D He has been collecting tools since before I was born, so within about 24 ish years of Christmas', birthdays and father's days it just added up.

He started buying my brother and I tools since we were about 15 cuz he was tired of us always using/abusing/loosing his tools.
