Stupid speed limiters

Well today on the turnpike i decide to just go at it all the way through, I just ran 119/120 all the way, only due to my freakin governor. It got to 120easy but cuts off right at it...DAMMIT! haha:banana:

thats just not smart... i can't say i've never done it before.. but its still not smart.. i have no desire to go real fast anymore... but actually i think the limiter is 118... not 120

Doooood! Thats pretty sweet! But thats amateur status tho, the challenge that you've gotta try is this: You know how the police put up those dot matrix displays on the road that tell you how fast you're going? Well what you've got to try is to get one of those in triple digits! :rock:

seriously, how hard is it to type a three digit number that you already know. i know you want people to search, but it's not that hard to repeat it..

I think it's 130-135 Dno, though, you have a vert and the extra weight might affect it slightly, maybe not tho

well, the problem is there is a lot of factors and no set number. searching will allow you to see these factors, apply them to yourself and weed out the BS claims and decide what you could really manage.


When I tell someone to search, part of the time it is because I don't know the details but know it has been thoroughly discussed.
besides...I try to only be an a$$ half the time ;)

homedog119 to answer the question you said "our cars" and I think F-Body not just V6. My 02 Z28 came with GU2 option which kinda sucks since its slower off the line than most other stock F-bodies dont have to worry about breaking my gears while at the track, and I get good mpg. Anyways the wife and I took the car up to 171 and double checked with the GPS speedo. So our cars will do 160+.

as i understand it, It is kind of my job as a mod to do this so the extra posts not required, since it has already been discussed, don't cost more money to the owners.

ive had my car up to 150 once on the highway @ 3 am with no one on the road. scared the living crap out of me, but it was still pulling pretty good so im sure its doable for 160+. ill never find out as i have no urge to ever do it again.

Quoted for truth. Things get ****ing scary at those speeds. I've done 140 and it got up there damn fast. No urge to go faster, more urge to be alive then dead from doing 160 +
