I just read someone's post in another thread about how everyone has owned a beater at one time or another.
So, I'm just curious as to what your's was when you were working on your car and needed something to get around in, or simply you needed a ride quick and couldn't afford much more.
First car was a 1970 Chevy Caprice. A land yacht, but with a 350 H.O. motor. Dad bought it for me for $500. I put on headers and exhaust and air shocks (remember those?) and went cruising. Wrecked it in a big snowstorm, but kept it for another 6 months before dad had it towed. He didn't like the three-tone color scheme thanks to body parts from two different salvage yards.
My daughter's gonna get a '99 Saturn 4-door with 172K miles on it. Once I allow her to get her license. (Within 6 months to a year if she behaves herself.)
92 mercury sable. That was a ghetto fabulous. The worst part is I was always trying to think of ways to make it better, if that was possible I don't know.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

daddys got a Fbody and daughter has a POS dude get a cavalier z24 atleast come on
My beater has been my old car. They've been nice cars, but seriously used. Each was 10 years old, so not worth much. The Fiat lasted 4 years more, the Corrado has been six, but I no longer trust it to drive out of town.
