impound lots?

ok, so i had a little incident last night... resulting in my dad's accord getting stuck in an impound lot. i kinda really need to be able to get it out myself, without him coming up here to get it out.
does anyone know how much the average impound lot charges per day to keep a car?
what about a towing fee? (should just be a few miles)
and then also, i dont know if there are any cops/judges on here, but i have some quick questions... just if you can shoot me an email or something ( steveyd@gmail.com )

going rate around here for impound lots are $75 daily. Doesn't matter if the car was put in there and you got there 5 minutes later to get it out, you are paying $75. As for towing fee's. Well, when towing a car to the impound lot, it doesn't matter if it's just around the corner. That is like a service call to a towing company, as if you were a Dell tech. and were sent to install a cd-rom on a customer's computer. The going rate around here for that tow is $75 as well.

Hope you can get it out, but it's doubtful if it's in your dad's name. Usually the person who owns the car (title is in their name) have to be present with their registration to get it out of an impound lot.

around here I would expect $125 tow + $75-100 impound.

haha, if you knew why it was impounded, it would be more like "somebody is going to get excommunicated"

i have to call the police tomorrow to see if i can get it out yet, and then i have to figure out all the stuff with the impound lot. this isnt fun!

Now I really want to hear the story on why it's in the impound lot in the first place.

I also hope there was nothing of any value in the car. Impound lots aren't known for their reputation and will take almost anything that isn't attached to the car that looks like it is worth money. I got my car impounded back in '99 and went to get it out 35 minutes later and about $3000 worth of cd's were no where to be found. I went and asked the guy who towed it there, he played stupid. So then I went and accused the police officers that called the tow truck to come and tow it. That almost got me put in jail. :( So, I'm guessing it was the guy at the impound lot.

haha.... well......

i was driving around. someone in my car decided it would be a good idea to jump out and grab some christmas lights off a house. so they stuck them in my trunk, but before they could get back in my car, the lady whos house it was pulled up. so the two guys in my car jumped out and ran, i went and hid my car... but she found me. so basically i was trying to get away from her for 5-10 min (i was in a slow honda, but i still must give that lady props, she could drive!) and finally the cops came, and i pulled over. i got arrested for receiving stolen property.

tow+storage = $130
getting to the impound lot = jogging 4 miles uphill in 8* weather
had to go to the jail and the impound lot = missing an important class

being back on the road = WORTH IT

I had some crazy ***** chase me for like 15 min while on her phone. (cut her off) I couldnt get rid of her. Made me feel pretty slow. So to get rid of her i got on a busy street and made a turn into a neighboorhood just before a hill and blocked the entrance with my car. She was following to close and had to stop in the middle of the road. ***** almost got hit by like three people before she put it in reverse and gave up. :)

I had pulled out of a neighborhood slowly onto a busy street and the guy behind be started flipping out at me. I turned left he turned left i turned right he turned right then i kept weaving in and out of my own neighbor hood i eventually hit like 90 pulled away hid in a driveway. He didnt see me i went home and put the car in the garage. Later, about an hour, the cops came to my house. The guy said i cut him off ( I wasnt even close to cutting him off andthey wouldnt tell me his name ir where he lived) and the guy said i was speeding. And apparently he lived in my neighbor hood and was just going home and not following me but i went up and down the same roads several times and he followed and i live in a small neighbor hood and never seen him before or again. The cops said they werent gonna give me a ticket or anything but if they get a report again i will get one for speeding and wreckless driving:bs:
