  • reducing my bills by about 60%

So by next March I will be able to cut most of my bills. I'm pretty pumped.
Right now my rent is $960, utilities run me about $175 total (gas, water, electricity) car payment and insurance is about $500, cable bill is $90 plus all the other random expenses runs my total to about $2,100 to $2,400 a month.

Well, I've decided to break down, get a roommate, and lower my living class a tad. Rochester is just too dang expensive, especially with my job cutting wages and laying off people.
Our rent will be $650 split two ways, utilities are partially paid for and run about 100 bucks total, splitting the cable/internet bill, AND my last car payment is January and I can reduce my car and insurance cost to about 50 bucks.
My total living cost should run right around $800.
    I am sooo freakin excited
    $1,300 EXTRA per month!!
    that is phenomenal
plus I had a little extra anyways
I'm hoping to be able to bank 800 to 1000 per month over the next 18 months
    that would be really awesome
He is just as excited because he is living perfectly within his means, but if any expenses come up, he has no extra money so he is trying to prepare for the future and save up a bit. This is a really good working deal for the both of us. BTW he is 21 and im 23 so it does suck in a way because both of us have lived on our own for a few years, and now we are kinda taking a step backwards to living with a roommate. Hopefully it works out, we are signing a 6 month lease first to see how it goes, then if it works well, we will sign another year.

It's always exciting to know you will have more money. But you will find something to spend it on.

Just make sure it's someone you can depend on. I was splitting a apartment with a friend of mine. She got tired of the drive and ended up moving out. I'm trying to get her to move into the one bedroom condo I just bought but so far she hasn't gone for it, I told her she could have half the bed and I would take the other half with me. Don't know why she would pass on that offer.

yeah, were preparing for this as much as we can
were going to setup a contract of sorts to deal with most situations that arise with roommates
also we are doing a short term lease for 6 months and we will see how it goes.
If all is well we will sign another year, then we both should be at a better time in our lives

I didn't do the contract because I technically wasn't supposed to have someone subletting with me so I wasn't concerned when she left. I just liked the extra greenbacks. Congrats though, it's always nice to save any money but 60% is great.

lol, i figure if i get a payment of around 550 or 650 that might be enough money spent
I also have a moving company that is doing very well that I have not been taking any money from
we did over $5,000 (gross) in moves last month and we are only 8 months old
also just picked up an account for 3 days a week doing furniture deliveries that is supposed to average $2500 per week ($10,000ish per month)
my main goal is to be able to be financially stable enough to quit my job and do the moving company full time
if i can free up enough money then i can do that alot easier
so I may be waiting on the BMW till next year anyways to see how things play out
