So by next March I will be able to cut most of my bills. I'm pretty pumped.
Right now my rent is $960, utilities run me about $175 total (gas, water, electricity) car payment and insurance is about $500, cable bill is $90 plus all the other random expenses runs my total to about $2,100 to $2,400 a month.
Well, I've decided to break down, get a roommate, and lower my living class a tad. Rochester is just too dang expensive, especially with my job cutting wages and laying off people.
Our rent will be $650 split two ways, utilities are partially paid for and run about 100 bucks total, splitting the cable/internet bill, AND my last car payment is January and I can reduce my car and insurance cost to about 50 bucks.
My total living cost should run right around $800.
I am sooo freakin excited
$1,300 EXTRA per month!!
that is phenomenal
plus I had a little extra anyways
I'm hoping to be able to bank 800 to 1000 per month over the next 18 months
that would be really awesome
He is just as excited because he is living perfectly within his means, but if any expenses come up, he has no extra money so he is trying to prepare for the future and save up a bit. This is a really good working deal for the both of us. BTW he is 21 and im 23 so it does suck in a way because both of us have lived on our own for a few years, and now we are kinda taking a step backwards to living with a roommate. Hopefully it works out, we are signing a 6 month lease first to see how it goes, then if it works well, we will sign another year.
cliffs: reducing bills from 2100 - 2400 down to about 800 a month
