our one year anniv. i dropped over $2700, i've been with her over 3 years now

when she met me i was recently unemployed, bumming the extra tacos off her taco bell value meals, i'm not very rich now....but there was a time, obviously

i do ok at the moment but she doesnt expect wonderful things all the time, but i do my best to make her smile, and i think she appreciates that

I say go for the car unless you really think this chick is legit. I think girls are great and all but your car is always there, and if it breaks down it's still there, in relationships if it breaks down they screw your best friend ; ) However, as far as whisper lid or clear corners, get the lid, I like mine.

For all of you that are trying to ration with him about why the girl is so important and ya da ya da ya.........Be married for at least 5 years and then give him the same advice. :) Dude, worry about your car, the person who said get her a cell phone case was on the right track.

Today was my wife's b-day, you know what I did for the most part....I woke up, gave her a few more of her presents left over from last night, took her to breakfast, got home, changed clothes, layed my daughter down for a nap, went and worked on my car all day until Saints vs. Cowboys was about to come on. Went to a friends house with her and let her sit there and read while we cheered like idiots as the Saints made the Cowboys look like a high school team. Guess what, she's still by my side, she's still happy, and guess what, I got a lot of work done on my car today. :) The girl won't like you more if you get her a gift, she will be thankful that you got her a gift........if she really likes you, she won't even care if you don't get her a gift. So, worry about your car, it has seniority over her anyways, so the car comes first.

Im not sure which to get i have about $100-110 to spend i can get clear corners and the clear side markers for $40 from a friend which i think is a good deal plus ill have some money to spend cause i need to buy a xmas gift for my gf, but lately i have been really interested in the whisper lid so what do you guys think?

This prob sounds gay but im gonna just get her 8 roses 1 each day of Channuka with a little poem or saying on each one. Affordable, have plenty of money for the car, and most likely she'll love it

Blldogg! a lil harsh there dude! I spent like 50 bucks MAX on my gf's christmas gifts each year. but thats cuz i make her stuff. i put together a scrapbook last year and made her pillows and cases the year before (i monogrammed them by hand so it took me like 80+ hours). Roses for each day doesnt sound so much "gay" as it does cheesy. I would say, find something she likes or could use and make her something.

more ideas:
For my gf's birthday, i had her mom give me the key to her car and i filled it up with balloons during the night and wrapped some roses in a blanket and left them on her seat along with a looooong love letter. i had a personalized cake made for her too (not one of those stupid meijer photocakes, it was done by a bakery and even tho it was small it was expensive, but worth every penny... it was more art than food really)

or try sending her on a scavenger hunt the day b4 christmas or sumthing. invite her over and leave a cute lil note on the door saying to meet you up at starbucks. she gets to starbucks adn the barista hands her another note adn a coffee then she goes to a bakery and gets a lil tort and another note, then maybe back to your house and she finds something on the couch where you guys make out adn watch tv along with another note and keep going till she meets you somewhere for a nice dinner... its cash money dude.

last thing:
girls LOVE totally random acts of appreciation. go get a hallmark card (has to be hallmark or homemade cuz they DO notice that you went and got a premium card) and a bouquet of flowers from a floral shop (again, they'll notice the difference b/w a floral shop and the kroger flower department) adn walk in one day when she's at work and give them to her in front of all her co-workers. she'll be embarassed as hell but she'll love every second of it cuz then all the other girls will be like "i wish MY bf did that for me" etc... i would wait until after x-mas for that one tho cuz it has to be unprovoked, saying that you're always thinking of her.

Its all about creating memories. always make sure you take alotta pictures cuz then you can look back at all the stuff you've done and been thru and its really special
