The community College I work at just passed a designated smoking area rule. It's kinda funny to watch all the people get horded into designated areas like cattle. The funniest thing is to listen to these people ***** about it, they try to argue their point all the while weezing and gasping for air, all you can really say is wow because they just don't get it.

Because the beach isn't a giant ash tray. I think no smoking on beaches makes more sense than any of the other no smoking laws they've put into effect so far.

i think its stupid personally. i dont smoke, and i dont like the smell of it but the people have the same rights as everyone else and that they souldnt be treated like second class citizens

What about second hand smoke? Are non-smokers being treated as second class citizens because they have to inhale cancerous carcinogens from smokers?

I believe that non-smokers shouldn't have to smell the smoke from smokers, but have you ever been to a beach without wind? There's always a seabreeze, I don't think anyone will die from second hand smoke on a beach.

And aren't cigarette butts made of paper? I think paper is alot better on the beach than all the diapers, needles, and sixpack rings.

i smoke and understand completely that when people are eating they don't want smoke hovering around them... but i disagree with the laws that say you can't smoke inside anywhere... that makes bars suck really bad now. Beach...??? i don't know and don't care. There are other things i'm thinking about on the beach... not a cig.

Besides... the worst is when someone tells me smoking is bad... last guy to do that got a response from me that went "so will double cheeseburgers"

^^^ Agreed! I smoke too, sucks to be at a bar and not have that tasty smoke to go with it. I too understand not everybody wants to smell it, but I also don't want to see the 400 pounder walkin' around in a bikini at the beach!

that annoys me too. even though i smoke i always make sure i have somewhere to put the butts when im done.
